SUMMARY:Spooky Science at the Discovery Center Museum\, October 27
DESCRIPTION:Look no further for anyone looking for a fun\, safe\, and not-too-scary Halloween celebration for youngsters. Discovery Center is hosting Spooky Science – the best party in Rockford for children – on Friday\, October 27\, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Spooky Science invites families to come in costume and bring their Trick-or-Treat bag for this not-so-scary evening of spooktacular high-jinks. Brew gooey glowing slime\, build Frankenstein’s monster\, test a spider web’s strength\, enjoy a live science demonstration\, and delight in more Halloween activities\, crafts\, and games. Take-home stickers\, tattoos\, bouncy balls\, and other treats. It will be skeletons of fun! Admission is $12 per person for the general public\, $3 per person for members\, and free for all children ages one and younger. The entry includes all activities. Reservations can be made online at https://bit.ly/SpookyScience2023 or by phone at 815-963-6769. Admission can also be purchased on the night of the event. DESCRIPTION:Join Durand Charm for Trunk or Treat as part of Halloween on the Square (Durand Square–Center Street) on Saturday\, October 28. A costume parade begins at 10:00 a.m.; registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Durand Charm’s trunk will feature the books (either instead of or in addition to candy). \nTrunk or Treat vehicles: Please line up in the parking lot between Rare Scum and Bryden Ford at 9:30 am. Decorate your car and dress up as your favorite character. Pirates\, princesses\, and more will parade by your car and “Trunk or Treat” for Halloween goodies. This is a family-friendly event\, please\, no scary costumes. All treats must be store-bought and pre-packaged. \nNo registration is required.
